Radiohead - Optimistic
This sone was the single for the album Kid A, I purchased it based on the fact that I've liked Radiohead's work before and the single. The song ends with a funky trail off and I was expecting the next song to actually continue that melody, it does not. |

Weekend Project # 2 I decided to finally fix the landscaping clusterfuck of plants and weeds that decorated scared people away from the front of my house. Since I spend my most of my time in the backyard, that's where I focus most of my gardening energy, and a result, the "landscaping" in front of my house was a very sorry sight. Rather than bore you with all of the details of my weeding, digging, planting, bordering, and muching, how about before and after pictures, hmmmm? ( Observe. ) |

Lets play a game.... This game is called Shawn doesn't give a fuck anymore... Here I am doing the things that I do and more and more I realize that I give people confidence, then they just say fuck me and go on in the world. Its funny how it happens... You see someone that you know you can help on some way shape or form. Then you interact with each other... You find out things and you build off of that. They tell you what it is that they can't figure out and you help them with it... Their way of thanking you is using what you helped them gain and walking away. Me, I'm done with it... Its back to the guy that I have been becoming anyway. I mean this brash guy that needs nothing or no one in life. The guy that is going to walk past those that need help cause he can better help himself by walking past you. Thats going to be the new me. No more worries about anything except self... So if ya gotta problem and you think I'm going to help you with it... Sorry to disappoint. To those that think that this is not who I am supposed to be remember this... For every friend that fucks you, you could've just said fuck you. Current Mood: angry |

Adding Insult to Injury by Tim Wise Tim Wise also wrote Your Whiteness is Showing.
Adding Insult to Injury: Race, Disaster and the Calculus of Comparative Suffering Previously (and briefly) titled, "The Ugly Side of Disaster: Racism and the Calculus of Comparative Suffering" Disasters bring out the best and worst in people. On the one hand, millions of folks respond to the suffering of their fellow human beings with compassion, concern, and even significant financial assistance when needed. Be it a hurricane, an earthquake, tornadoes or the recent massive flooding in the Midwestern United States, the hearts, minds, and often wallets of large numbers of the nation's people are with those in need. And on the other hand, there's Rush Limbaugh, who has decided to use the flooding in Iowa not to demonstrate compassion, but as an opportunity to make derogatory statements about poor black folks: specifically those caught by the flooding in New Orleans after Katrina in 2005. This week, as folks in Iowa, Indiana and parts of Illinois have watched flood waters rise ever higher, Limbaugh took to the air to contrast these supposedly good and decent people who have joined forces to help each other, with the presumably evil, lazy and violent folks of New Orleans, who we are told, did nothing but foment criminality and wait for the government to save them during flooding there in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Thus, we have his statement of a few days ago, in which he noted that in the midst of the devastation in the Midwest: "I see people working together. I see people trying to save their property...I don't see a bunch of people running around waving guns at helicopters. I don't see a bunch of people running shooting cops. I don't see a bunch of people raping people on the street...I see the heartland of America. When I look at Iowa and when I look at Illinois, I see the backbone of America." |

Scott weiland and his wife RANDOM POST I was bored looking at websites and came across these pictures: Aging sucks sometimes. His wife was a model. Better than looking than most of these models these days. They all look alike plain with big eyes and a body like a heroin addict. 2000 2007-When his wife was arrested and booked for investigation of felony arson vandalism after allegedly torching $10,000 worth of Scott clothes lol"The weekend's difficulties were brought on by a reaction to an imbalance in medications used to treat my bipolar disorder," Mary Weiland says. "Scott was simply trying to help calm me down. I want to make it very clear that he did not hurt me in any way." -- Welp I need to go do laundry. I havent ate lunch yet! D: Im hungry. I think I will get some food at the grocery store. I need to stop eating fast food. Im leaving to Columbus Monday! |

I was having one of those moments when I let something hurt my feelings, and I sit around feeling sorry for myself. I decided to stop moping, do some yoga and then play my guitar for a while, and remembered that I don't do either of those things nearly enough, and that doing them makes me feel good. I will do them more often.
I made myself a frozen pizza and opened myself a beer, and relished how the simple things in life can make me feel so much better.

Good Morning. "Open your eyes, look straight into the sunrise. Its waiting only for you, to hear it's song" Matthew Sweet - Morning Song
Which is quite funny because it's so overcast here there is no sunrise, which is good because I'd never recommend that someone look into a naked sunrise on the account of it and you know - blindness. |

Thank you, life, I couldn't have done better. Get this, not only has there been bra invented to harness power from breasts as they move (Joy!) but one of the people interviewed about its possibilities... Wait... Professor Wang! ArticleAs an added bonus, how quotes take out of context can be mistrued. ...the bra itself would have to be cleverly designed. "It's just a matter of finding the sweet spot..."
